4 Must-Have Shots for Airbnbs
When photographing Airbnbs, there are a few must-have shots you should get for every Airbnb! Every listing should not only have high-quality, well-lit images, but it should also tell the story about the place. These are our favorite 4 shots we make sure to get at every Airbnb.
#1 The Hero Shot
The Hero shot is the shot that stops the scroll, and really commands the attention of the Airbnb. We like this image to be a drone shot or a wide-angle shot of the outside of the Airbnb. This hero shot typically includes some amenities if they are on the outside of the house, or stunning backdrops, such as a sunset, if you can include it.
#2 The Unique Amenity Shot
When photographing Airbnbs, one of the most important shots is the unique amenity. Hosts put a lot of effort into selecting unique and beautiful things to make their airbnbs stand out in a saturated market. If an Airbnb has a sauna, hot tub, pool, glass deck, hammock swings, or more, make sure to highlight these features in your photos! Amenity items could be in the house too, such as an entertainment center, a wine refrigerator, a rain shower, a private gym, an indoor theatre, etc. So make sure to highlight them as well!
#3 The Detail Shot
Not only should you be photographing the entirety of the Airbnb, but also highlight some small details! Beautiful potted plants, unique lamps or stunning artwork. Highlight the small details that luxury clients would love to pay attention to that makes the Airbnb unique.
#4 The Whole Scene Shot
After you’ve photographed the unique amenities and close-up details, make sure you capture a shot of the whole scene. This is slightly different from a hero shot because they are usually on the ground and encompass everything from different angles. This scene should make the viewer feel as if they are already there, ready to step into the relaxing luxury of the Airbnb!
